I live in Illinois & found out about your store through the Internet. Now I visit several times a year. You were nice enough to allow my friend to bring her small dog into the store & while she tried on clothing the dog stood outside the dressing room looking attentively at everyone else. You girls go the extra mile, congrats on 22 years.

I can't remember when... maybe 10 years ago...I was a Big Sisters volunteer...Marigolds sponsored a "learn to crochet night" at the store for Big Sisters. My Little Sister and I attended because she wanted to learn to crochet. There were 2 or 3 skilled women who taught us the basics of crocheting, over soft drinks and snacks. My Little Sister, Rishae, was determined to learn and they were ready to help her. She left that evening with some hooks and yarn and the beginnings of a...something or other. But, she kept going, talking to friends who knew how to crochet and, darned if she didn't make several small afghans. She was proud and I was amazed. Last week, we went to see the final Harry Potter movie. We've seen all 7. She's 23 now and her life has been full of struggles, but she still learns quickly. And, she has self-confidence to keep pushing herself. Every single time I go into Marigolds, I remember that evening, Rishae manuevering that crochet hook and those lovely women eager to help her succeed. Offering your talents, your time, even your space, is never a wasted effort.

The best memory of Marigold...making friends that have become family with all the women who are the face of Marigold. It has been a joy watching the boutique morph into its own personality with beautiful color, design, and have clothing that works on every woman. Meeting Cynthia Ashby was my biggest thrill! Love all of you! Happy Birthday!!!
